Some clinically observed phenomena in extended contact lens wear.
Two groups of volunteer subjects wearing extended-wear soft lenses were monitored over a period of 20 weeks. Of 6 factors measured only 1, corneal touch threshold, was found to show evidence of progressive change. However, a high incidence of lens surface deposits was encountered.

متن کاملSome Unusual Features of Fine Structure Observed in Hela Cells
HeLa cells from conventional culture media have been studied in thin sections with the electron microscope; in many cases cells were examined in sets of sections cut in series. The fine structure of the cells is described including three unusual features not hitherto reported. It has been found that numerous cells contained rows of parallel smooth surfaced cisternae spaced about 150 mmicro apar...
متن کاملIs the observed NAO variability during the instrumental record unusual?
[1] Observed multidecadal variability (30 yr runningmeans, trends, and moving standard deviations) of the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) during the instrumental record is compared to that simulated by two different coupled general circulation models in extended-range control experiments. Simulated NAO exhibits strong low frequency fluctuations, even on multi-centennial time scale. Observed mu...
